HONOKAA BOY

An introspective coming-of-age story about Leo based in the small coastal town of Honokaa.

I really liked the saturated and often white-washed shots with the sort of vintage feel you always long for. And of course, blend in a nice dose of culinary skills and AHA SX-70 and you get a nice, artsy film. The house where Bee lives in is so adorable and cozy too!

Second half of the film was really sad : (

I love how I’m up at 6 in the morning still working on my wood samples project.

This week is going to be AWESOME (sarcasm implied).

Let’s hope somewhere along the way, I’ll be able to eat some sushi. That will make my day mucho better.

Dear Jennifer,

Another year. Another reason to be thankful for everything that you’ve got.

Cherish all the moments and never cease to thrive, to prosper.

Live every day as if it were your last.

And never forget who you are.

The daughter, the sister, the friend, the class mate, the student and the stranger.

Happy Birthday.

Love,

Yourself.

Nomadic

So this morning or rather afternoon (I woke up at 2), I dreamt that I was living on a cruise. My family was there and my cousins too. Now, how I wish I was ACTUALLY living on a cruise because life is stupid when you know you’ve lost another 5 years of your life breathing in toxic fumes. Then I’m just failing life completely when I can’t do shit properly and finish my work like a god damn keener. This wood stain project would’ve been very very interesting if we had more time for it. With such a limited time for us to do this project, how ARE we supposed to enjoy the process? HOW – might I ask – are we supposed to be using our creativity and doing amusing experiements when we can’t even spend another 10 minutes in the shop. How is taking whatever random stain you find on the table and applying it onto your wood a legit design process? I’m sure it isn’t. Profs are asking us why some people are able to get this done. Oh oh oh do you expect ALL OF US to have the same resources at home? Some of these people HAVE A MOTHER FUCKING WORKSHOP at home. Oh so THAT’s how they’re so good. Yea and what about all the complaints that we’re using up too much stuff and that David is fucking doing a charity to SELL this shit to us?! WHAT. THE. FUCK. I’m paying TUITION to come here – we all are. This is what the ancillary fees are for. If you think we’re so low on money, then WHY NOT STAY AT A STUPID HOSTEL when we were on the Boston trip. I wouldn’t have minded if that would help with our “resources”.

Now this post wasn’t meant to be a rant. MLIA.
